Founded in 1963, the Protestant Council of Rwanda (CPR) is a public interest and Christian organization of Protestant Churches of Rwanda.
As the vision of CPR states in John 17;21, “ That they may be one……”, the staff and the leadership of CPR visit one church member of CPR every last Sunday of the month. They participate in the worship service together with church congregation as well as the preaching of the Word.
This initiative, which started in January 2016, aims at consolidating Unity in diversity. It is also an opportunity to talk about CPR’s mission, objectives, and programs. Furthermore, it allows CPR staff to learn about different liturgies of member churches and to fellowship with the congregation and leadership of the church.
So far, CPR staff visited the Evangelical Church of Friends - Kagarama Parish; the Free Methodist Church - Gikondo Parish, the Association of Baptist Churches in Rwanda – Kacyiru Parish, the Presbyterian Church in Rwanda - Gikondo Parish, the Anglican Church - Kigali Diocese, Gatsata Parish, and the Pentecostal Church in Rwanda - Kacyiru Parish.
